Christmas 2011

Well Christmas was an amazing whirlwind to say the least. It started December first when Jaxon opened his first advent present. Each day after that he woke every morning asking for “advent” and even went as far as searching for the big ones that couldn’t fit on the calendar, which he found in our closet. I guess he is a little like his mom. On December 16th we celebrated Christmas in Santa Cruz with “popo” and the Ryman family. Jaxon was so excited to get Elmo and a new race car he could drive. Then came Christmas with Cheryl and Cheri and his “besties” the three dogs! Jaxon got tons of stuff but the highlight was a garden set to help mom in the summer. Jaxon loves sweeping leaves! Christmas with Nancy, who is much more than a babysitter, came with a Santa’s sack full of toys. Santa must have known he loves cars!! Next was Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Jeff and the Reno Gaedtke’s! Great food, drinks and lots of gifts! The kids had fun playing with each others toys. Unfortunately a few days before Christmas Jaxon got the flu and ended up in the emergency room where we were grateful enough to have our neighbor treat him. Jaxon managed to pull through celebrating Christmas eve with Tutu, Grandpa Bob, Ida and great grandma Ruth. He barely made it through Christmas Eve night with the Stirton, Rutheiser, and Gonzale families where he ended up naked to cool off from his fever. But once again he found some energy to find his gifts from Santa and search for money in the tree at Grandpa Ricks and Nani’s house. Things could have ended much worse however looking back it was actually a pretty fun Christmas!

Train Museum

Jaxon and his friend Lucas spent the day exploring trains at the train museum in old Sacramento. They had so much fun, we can’t wait to go back!

Santa Cruz in December

Jaxon and I spent the weekend in Santa Cruz where it was hard to believe it was December. The sun was out and warm enough to spend some time on the beach. We finally got to meet Emma the new addition to the Yelland family. What a beautiful and sweet baby, just like her big sister Cayden. Linz also came to visit and we had a drink on the beach to celebrate her birthday before doing a little shopping in Capitola. Thanks mom and Jeff for an amazing weekend!

Football

We spent the day at the last SJSU game and then spent the night with Linz at her new place in Oakland

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Stockton and then drove all night to las Vegas where we enjoyed a second Thanksgiving! Scott and I got to go out and have some adult time while Jaxon had fun playing with his great auntie Chris and Tutu!

Yo Gabba Gabba

The Reno Gaedtke kids got the El Dorado Hills Kid hooked on Yo Gabba Gabba. Scott and I are even entertained by the show! The show came to town and we couldn’t resist not going! So we packed the kids up along with Muno, Plex and Foofa for a night with DJ Lance Rock! Oh I forgot to mention Shayna and I took the kids while Rob and Scott went gambling!

Pumpkin Patch

Apple Hill with Nancy

Jaxon couldn’t be luckier to have someone so special and loving in his life. Instead of taking Jaxon to KidsKamp Nancy took him to apple hill! Found out the boy loves donuts since he not only had one with Nancy by the pond but also had one when he got home!

Jaxon’s friend Lucas and his family invited us to go trick or treating with them in Folsom. Jaxon dressed up in his favorite car costume and along side a lion and puss in boots they were escorted door to door. A big thanks to Jen and Seth for the delicious tacos to get us started. And thanks Jaxon for all the candy:)
